day 3..

we knew we were not going to make the canoe race this year.
but.. we did see some of the pro & amateur classes boats as they passed us going up stream, then passing us again going down stream.
we finished this year at the canoe race start.

was another great year, we had some fun, a lot of laughs, good company, great work, another adventure in the pocket.
look forward to the Sydenham River canoe trip next year.

this is the section of the trip kevin likes to call ‘dieppe’… gloomy, no winding breaking, water is very still… just a hard section in the morning.

it rained for most of the night… randy was still able to create fire with the soggy wood.
the large logs around the fire are the same one’s we leaned and relaxed on last year. it was like we never left.

2011 Sydenham Canoe Trip

another April, another Canoe Trip and Canoe Race..
this year 6 guys all returning from previous years will be venturing off onto the Sydenham River again for 3 days, 2 nights, and 1 race.
Paddlers are:
-Keven (5th time)
-Kenny (3rd time)
-Jamie (3rd time)
-Scott (4th time, not same Scott from last year)
-Randy (2nd time)
-Philip (2nd time)
Weather Forecast (Sarnia Weather LinkStrathroy Weather Link):
  - Friday High of 9C, Low of 1C, and Sunny
  - Saturday High of 11C, Low of 7C, and Possible Light Rain
  - Sunday High of 9C, Low of 3C, and Sunny with Cloudy Periods
we will be taking off again near Rokeby Line, just North East of Alvinston.
we have cameras, blackberrys and iphones now, so we will be periodically posting images and positions of our trip as we go.
i’m all done packing, but the rest are not.. so now I take off and go help them.
