Final Thoughts

'twas a great weekend.

despite the weather at some points, it was a fantastic trip.

weather is what the ‘great outdoors’ is all about.

lets see who is interested in braving next year.

Our 2010 Results

all 6 of us, or all 3 canoes were in the recreation class

James & Kenny got 10th Place (1:03:28)
Randy & Philip got 11th Place (1:05:50)
Kevin & Scott got 20th Place (1:21:52)

made it in time for registration for St. Clair Conservation Sydenham Canoe Race.

all other racers find it funny with how much gear we’ll all be carrying during the race, as each canoe has about 80lbs or more.. and it’s a race.

The Coat

while we setup camp, i took my coat off and left it on the ground for about 10 mins… this is the hail that accumulated….

Morning Day 2

Night 1, First Camp

found a great area, very flat, inside a bowl-like area so we are blocked by the gusting wind above us.. wind that is crashing trees around us.. hope no trees fall on the tent tonight

2010 Sydenham Canoe Trip

in April 2010

James, Kenny, Kevin, Scott, Randy and Philip set off for a 3 day, 2 night, 1 race canoe trip.

2010 will be
- Kevin’s 3rd time
- Kenny’s 2nd time
- Jamie’s 2nd time
- Scott’s 1st time
- Randy’s 1st time
- Philip’s 1st time

we start just off Rokeby Line, near Alvinston, Ontario.

we paddle for 3 days, and camp out 2 nights to reach the St. Clair Conservation Sydenham River Canoe Race, and enter the recreation class, which is quite fitting.
